- CEEAMS annual conference: Polycentric mission and the Nicene CreedThe year 2025 marks the anniversary of the so called First Council of Nicea (325). The Nicean Creed originates from this council and some churches has been using it in their church services and liturgies ever since. Other church traditions have long forgotten or never learned this creed. As an ecumenical and international association, the Central and Eastern European Association for Mission Studies (CEEAMS) takes this historical reference to frame the theme of its annual conference: polycentric mission.
- PhD Defence: Marten van den TorenThe faith of migrants travels with them. It faces new challenges and opens up new possibilities as it migrates to a new environment. In his dissertation, Marten van den Toren, a PhD student at the PThU, delved into the spirituality of Pentecostal migrant communities in Madrid.
- Book presentation: Eight Million ExilesThe PThU has invited Dr Christopher Hays to present his book Eight Million Exiles on 25 February. In Eight Million Exiles, Dr Hays describes how social scientists, theologians, pastors and local communities worked together to support displaced communities in Colombia.
- Summer school: Biblical Interpretation in Diverse CommunitiesThis course explores the diverse ways in which the Bible is interpreted and used within various communities, challenging traditional approaches to biblical scholarship and encouraging participants to consider the role of "ordinary" readers and marginalized groups in shaping biblical meaning.
